Today was a super-fun day. They were building a new retaining wall at Ben’s Park, so Campbell got to work with his excavator at the park and help them. 🙂 We even went back twice!
Later, we played Sherlock Gnomes. Campbell loves to do that and search for the missing garden gnome.
Campbell and Dad went to get Campbell’s 5-yo checkup so we would be able to go to school in person whenever the time comes to do that. We were almost certain that Campbell would have to get a shot, but thankfully, he didn’t!
Campbell was excited to be a real COVID doctor, and he told all of the doctors, nurses, and staff that he was a real COVID doctor. He wore his COVID specialist lab coat, a mask. And, he even wore his mask the whole time he was at the doctor’s office.
Dad and Campbell got to be firemen and garbage men today on the first day of (remote) Orientation for mom!
After a long time gone, we came back to such a fun surprise from Julie and Tracy. They have been wanting to do a scavenger hunt with Campbell since they moved. We were able to do it tonight, and it was awesome.
First, Campbell found some popsicles at Julie and Tracy’s old house! Then, we went to Harbor of Health, where Campbell found a scrub suit and a Covid Specalist Lab Coat! Then, he found another clue that sent him to the Montessori school for some – marshmallows! Finally, we followed the directions to a special fire hydrant where Campbell found a special “Fire Chief Campbell” fireman outfit! It was a truly special and awesome night. Campbell loved it so much!
Today, Campbell got a cool new SWAT costume! He had such a big time!
Later, Campbell got to go and do work on the lot around the corner from Gigi and Papa Doc’s house. :). And, he wore a mask to help with garbage again too!
More swimming fun! 🙂
Campbell has progressed so much with his swimming since the beginning of May when he first started swimming on his own. He’s really confident and swimming so well! We are super proud of him, and love his sense of adventure.
And, today Campbell got an astronaut costume and got to do yard work and play on a tractor!
It may look like just a regular garbage run, but this day was really huge! The garbage men at Gigi’s house were wearing masks, so Campbell put his mask on and wore it for a whole 25 minutes! He went around the whole cirlce doing garbage and reycling.
Later, we had fun on a Sherlock Gnomes route!
After, that Gigi and Campbell did some work on the broken fountain pump.
Today, we convinced Campbell to wear his Kiwi New Zealand shirt. He has about 3 shirts he likes to wear, all of them plain. We told him this was a “vet” t-shirt (to make him think it was about doing a job) to even get it on him. But, then we filled up his trailer with stuffed animals that needed a vet to work on them. Super cute. :).
Later, we went on a police route with a K-9 unit, were pirates, and helped dad with plumbing under the kitchen sink.
We had enrolled to go to a fun workshop class for Campbell, but with the germs, we couldn’t go. But, we got a slime kit from them and made slime today. Campbell loved it (even though he didn’t want to touch it at first!)>
More fun with Campbell’s trailer behind his golf cart/vehicle/tractor. Today, he turned it into a yard work vehicle when he saw the guys out in the neighborhood.
Campbell was so excited when the yard guy wanted to take a picture with him. He ran over to Mason to ask if he could take a picture with Campbell. He actually handed Mason his phone and wanted a picture on his phone to send to his wife. He was so nice!
Today, Dad and Campbell were ninja warriors protecting the house from enemies who attacking downstairs.
Later, Campbell saw a forklift working in the neighborhood. It was dropping off roofing tiles. He decided to recreate the scene.
Later, Campbell had a great idea to turn his wagon into a trailer behind his golf cart.
Julie and Tracy gave us a snowman that Campbell has turned into a garden gnome. Mom hides it and writes notes and leaves them around as clues, and Watson and Sherlock go around and try to find the gnome. Campbell loves this game. 🙂
Later, Campbell and dad did yard work. And, while they were out, they found a truck with a forklift on the back. It was delivering roofing tiles to a house that’s getting a new roof.
Campbell decided to make his own forklift truck and trailer…
And, Sunshine is such a sweet cat! 🙂

Dad and Campbell went to play golf this morning and went on a fun excursion around the course afterwards!
We watched Sherlock Gnomes for the first time in a while. Campbell loves that movie and wanted to go play Sherlock, Watson, and Moriarti. 🙂
Later, more heavy rescue work
Today, dad and Campbell got to be movers and move things on using their moving truck. Super cute. He even got out of the vehicle to help direct the other mover-driver-dad how to drive the fully loaded truck.
Today, Campbell got to help with the move-out “inspection” on Julie and Tracy’s house. He had so much fun pointing out all the issues and helping to repair problems. The property manager was very nice!
Also, Julie took Campbell home with her on the golf cart to get the garage door clicker she’d forgotten. Here’s how they looked when they returned… 🙂
Campbell wanted to wear the butterfly wings and the flowers on his head most of the day.
And, later he wore them for a “wedding” to mom

Later, we went to play hide-and-seek at the park, which is one of Campbell’s favorite things to do! 🙂
And, here we are trying to get Campbell used to the idea of wearing a mask… This is our second time trying, and it’s not going well…
Today, dad and Campbell found a lift truck in the neighborhood. 🙂 They also did yard work and saw a Memphis Police DUI unit. (No idea why it was here during the daytime).
Today was a super sad day. Moving day for Julie and Tracy. Campbell will be so sad that they aren’t next door (and so will mom and dad). But, for now, he’s having a big time playing mover. 🙂
Later, we went on another camping adventure in the woods behind the houses across the street. The water is low enough to get back in places we’ve never been before, and we found a swing back there.
Later, we took dinner to Julie and Tracy. Campbell quickly found the dress-up closet…
Today was a fun surprise for Campbell. Aunt Melanie’s gift got sent to the wrong address at Christmas and so we never received it. She figured it out and had the gift sent to us. It was an unexpected summer surprise. He had such a big time camping today.
Later, Campbell wanted to use his “truck” outside by himself to tow some vehicles.
And, he wanted to go around the yard taking pictures with our phones. And, he keeps telling us that “the girl cat” (Rainbow) is his favorite. 🙂
Today was our first day back at home after being gone for a while. Campbell got to play in the u-haul trailer before we had to return it, and he had a big time!
He also had fun “working” at the park.
Later, we got to re-enact more wrecks with the “tow truck” and using the trailer.
