More golf.  🙂

And, Campbell has something to tell everyone:

And working on new types of shots – and the realization that he doesn’t have to hit it as hard as possible all the time.

Sunday morning, we went back to the golf course practice area.  Campbell even got to meet Rachel Heck.  She was so sweet and came up to say hi and tell him what a great swing he had.  He started working on chipping up onto the green and working on hitting it to a location instead of hard.  We’re so glad he loves golf so much!

We tried again for more pictures in and out of the pool.

You might be wondering why Campbell is wet in his clothes in this pictures.  Pools are scary!  He was walking on the ledge and walked right into the “deep end” of the pool.  Thankfully mom dove in immediately and brought him up before he could even inhale any water.  Completely terrifying.  We all need to be extra, extra careful with him around the pool because he’s not afraid of getting in on his own anymore!

And, finally, more “pool golf” before it was time to drive back to Jackson.

Today, we had more fun time in the pool and playing golf, and dad got more cute pictures of Campbell.

Later, Stephen & Tiffany, Holly & Bucky, & May and Matt came over.  Campbell got to meet baby Lucy for the first time.  He was so excited – he kept asking when Lucy was going to be here, and he was so sweet to her.

Last night Michael and Sarah came over with Rabb and Lewis.  Campbell loved seeing Rabb jump in the pool from the planter box, and when I said hi to Julie, I turned around to find him climbing up there to try to jump off even though no one was in the pool to catch him.  This was after refusing to even put his bathing suit on, so we considered it good progress.  He got in and jumped off the ledge to dad, and had a great time.  Then, later he tried to walk down all the stairs to the bottom until the water was over his head. Thank goodness dad was right there to pull him up!  Pools are fun, but scary!

Today, he was a little shy about getting in again, but finally did, and he loved it and loved playing in his boat.

Later, mom and dad went to play croquet in the 4th of July member/member tournament.  Mom and her partner beat Gigi and her partner in the finals!

Campbell had so much fun this morning on his first real trip to the golf course with his golf clubs.  We’d putted one time before family night dinner, but this time we went to the putting green, the driving range, and the short game area.  He loved it and can’t want to go back.  One of the golf pros (can you believe his name is Dan Brown) even watched Campbell swing.  Of course, at that time, Campbell was refusing to hit any club except my right-handed driver…  Of course, he did it well enough that we couldn’t convince the pro that Campbell was actually left-handed.  I hope he is back some other time when Campbell will actually hit his own clubs!

After a Costco run and a few samples it was a prety successful (and exhausting) morning.

Tonight we went to the Levitt Shell with Campbell to see Paul Thorn and the Blind Boys of Alabama.  They were amazing, and Campbell had such a great time.  He even used the potty (#1) while we were there.  We definitely need to come back.

Today, Campbell got an “anniversary” gift – a new basketball goal.  He loves it, and he played all night – even with Heather while mom and dad went out to a movie for anniversary.

Today, Campbell wanted to help clean the porch, and he even got to play with the blower.  He had the best time!  🙂

Later, we got to borrow a bat while playing down at the river.  Campbell loved it – I think we’re going to be needing a tee ball set soon!  🙂

Campbell is feeling better still, but it also turns out not to be strep.  They think it is some sort of viral sore throat.  But it’s not enough to keep him from wanting to play golf.  🙂
