Mom, Dad, and Campbell went on a morning hike on the Five Senses Trail at Beaver Creek while Gigi and Papa Doc went on a Jeep ride and hike with friends who live near Beaver Creek.

Later, we took Campbell horseback riding. He had so much fun! He fell asleep in the car! And, he wore his cowboy shirt and vest and badge – at least until he had to take it off for the ride. With this particular company (Vail Stables), Campbell was allowed to ride his own horse, but with a guide pulling him behind. Campbell got to ride Dolly (a boy) and follow behind Grace, our guide. To say he ended up with a crush on Grace is a complete understatement… He also spent the whole hour ride talking her ear off. :). But, we had a great time! And, mom got this awesome picture of Campbell just before the ride.

Today, we went to Vail with Papa Doc and Gigi. They have a kids area at the top of the mountain that’s super fun. Campbell loved riding the gondola up. It has a roller coaster, a kids’ zip line and tubing hill. They also had a climbing wall and a trampoline jump. We had so much fun!

Roller coaster! Campbell got to go three times – twice with Papa Doc and once with Dad. He loved it even though the wait was really long (grownups waited for him and let him come back at the end).

There is a cool scuplture gallery and lots of sculptures all around Beaver Creek Village, where we stayed. Campbell had so much fun taking pictures with all the artwork, and he immediately recognized Amelia Earhart and some of the other famous figures and the Constitution. (He’s super into American History these days). He also loved playing in the food truck and checking out the other sites in the village.

They had some fun kids activities, so we played mini golf and tried climbing the climbing wall, as well. Campbell doesn’t like climbing very much, but he did make two holes in one!

Campbell also loved splashing in the very cold creek in the village! :).

Today, we went to Colorado. Campbell did an awesome job on the plane (it probably helped that we got upgraded because Dad flies so much). Campbell was a “police officer” for the entire trip. One flight attendant got a picture with him and another one thanked “Officer Campbell for keeping the plane safe over the intercom system.” It was very cool and Campbell was so excited. He also got to go sit in the cockpit and got a cool plane playing card.

Today, Julie and Tracy came by to show off Julie’s cool new Jeep, and they took a fun ride around Harbor Town with Campbell.

More work at the playground today! 🙂

Later, Campbell and dad were in their Vandy gear for the College World Series. 🙂
