Last day in Nashville! We had such a great time!.

Today, we went to Graceland to see the Elf exhibit and the other Christmas activities. It was so fun (but packed!)

We also checked out the rest of Opryland, played mini golf, and rode go-carts! Campbell wanted to ride with mom, of course!

Campbell was so excited to be in Nashville. And, the first thing he wanted to do was to swim in the pool. Thankfully, it was quiet and we had the place to ourselves. And, even more thankfully, dad is willing to swim in cold water! (Mom definitely is not!).

Later, we went to visit the Parthenon and to have lunch at Joyland.

Later, we walked to Union Station and all around downtown. We had dinner at a wonderful food hall. The bartender made Campbell a fun non-alcoholic drinks, and he was so excited. :). Everything is so festive for Christmas.

The big play house reveal – in the rain! He was so surprised and excited! Thank goodness we didn’t have to wait very long for the reveal!

Later this afternoon, we left to go to Nashville for a few days. Campbell is so excited. After checking in, we ate outdoors at Redheaded Stranger for dinner, which he loved! It was so cold we ended up taking our food back to the hotel!

Today was a big day! Christmas party at school. And, Campbell doesn’t know it yet, but dad spent the day putting together a play house in the back yard that is a Campbell’s Christmas gift from Pat-Pat and Bing. Dad spent all day and worked so hard on this, and Campbell is going to be so excited!

Dress up day at school! Campbell went with a Christmas tie this time.

Today, Dad was the mystery reader at school. Campbell was so excited, and the kids especially loved reading Home Alone. 🙂

Also, it was the end of the winter/fall soccer season. Campbell has loved playing soccer with his friends.

Campbell’s plans for the day. :).

Campbell is obsessed with the game and movie Clue. :). He was sad when we said he couldn’t watch it at a certain time. Later, he asked about Clue or Harry Potter. :). But, his handwriting is getting better.

Later, Campbell and dad worked on a construction job with his truck.

Mom and Campbell built a gingerbread house this morning. So fun! It’s also in keeping with our new interest – the great gingerbread challenge tv show. Campbell loves this show (even though he thinks the one judge is so harsh!). :). It’s really fun how creative he is and how he wants to reenact everything!

Later, we went to a birthday party for one of Campbell’s classmates, Graham Fisher. Graham’s mom is Mimmie Fisher, who was Campbell’s teacher in JK Lucky Llamas – the year we got sent home because of COVID. This is the first birthday party we’ve been to in a long, long time. So nice to be normal.
Today is a super fun and special day! Santa came to visit Campbell (and some neighborhood friends) in our back yard! Campbell got about 20-30 minutes of time to talk to Santa and ask all his questions and even to open a present or two. He got to give Santa his letter and some gifts also! (He’s such a sweet and thoughtful kid!).

Harbor Town Christmas Golf Cart Parade 2021. Super fun! 🙂

Playing detective at the apartment pool with new walkie talkies from Ms. Kim.

Today was “dress as your favorite book character” day at school. The 1st grade children dressed up like their favorite book characters, brought a copy of their books, and said who they were and why they chose that character at chapel in front of the school. It was adorable. :).
Campbell chose “Nate the Great.” He did a great job enunciating and speaking loudly and explaining why he chose his character. So precious!

Campbell creating an office and a Christmas scene in his Christmas bedroom. He’s loving it! :).
Today, while Campbell was at school mom and dad decorated his room for Christmas. We put up a new christmas tree (last year’s fell apart) and we found some fun Christmas Tree Truck bedding for him (and we got to use the Christmas truck sheets we got him a few years ago now that we’re in his big boy bed). And, Aunt Mary and David sent these adorable Christmas Gnomes (Tomtens). Campbell was so excited and surprised! We also had a couple of fun early gifts for him – like some fun Christmas books, Christmas PJs, and a Harry Potter lego Advent calendar from Charlotte and VH! 🙂

Today was the big day! Covid shot #2.

More fun with the new fire pit. Campbell likes s’mores the same way mom does. :). Just the chocolate.

Today, we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Campbell decided that we must reenact it. :). It was pretty hilarious, and I’m going to be super sad when he stops wanting to dress up and pretend play. 🙁

Later, we had a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner since none of us like turkey and dressing. Fondue! :). Campbell liked the olives and that’s about it. Haha.

Today, Campbell wanted to be a bad cowboy!

Later, Campbell got to help the yard guys with the “billy goat.” :).

We also got to use our new Solo fire pit for the first time. 🙂

Later, we worked on decorating the tree! It will be nice to have it decorated before Thanksgiving!
