Campbell got a new haircut today!  🙂  He was great and didn’t fuss at all.  Maybe it’s because of our monster, barber, haircut book.  🙂

Campbell got to go to the park for “baby day.”  Fertility Associates of Memphis has a baby day every two years and invites all their former patients and babies for a visit.  So, we got to have a nice visit with Dr. Ke and then go visit all the baby animals at the zoo!  We saw the baby hippo, the baby giraffe, and the baby sloth!  🙂

Bath time is also super fun.  🙂 Especially when playing peek-a-boo with dad.

Campbell loves to play peek-a-boo at the park.  🙂

 

He also loves to play with his “vacuum cleaner” and vacuum the house.  Apparently, we need to try to get him a real one and put him to work!

And, it’s even more fun to play peek-a-boo with a vacuum cleaner.  (We love how long Campbell likes to wait in the closet before peeking out…).

Today we went to the Trolley Stop for dinner, and Campbell insisted on helping carry the pizza home.  🙂  We’re trying to lose the pie-pie, but it was pretty late by the time he finished dinner, and he was pretty good!

Today, mom and dad took Campbell out to the golf course to play.  He even got to bring his new putter that the Easter Bunny brought him.  He had a great time and keeps asking to go back to the golf course.  He was ready to go by about the 7th hole, but we made it through the front nine and got him some chocolate ice cream as a treat afterwards.  🙂

In other new developments, Campbell is really interested in his stuffed animals now.  He’s got a sweet little dog (that looks like a bunny) that he calls “buddy” that is is favorite.  He’s also asking for buddy outside his crib, and playing with this other stuffed animals.  He wants to feed them milk, to give them his pie-pie, and to ask mommy to change their diapers.  🙂  It’s pretty cute.  They also like to hang out with him while he is cooking in his kitchen.  He continues to love to cook – especially with mommy’s pans, spoons, cookie sheets, and cutting boards (all of which he calls by name).  And, especially when you give him real food to play with.  He loves to stir his bananas and mangos, dried cranberries, and anything else you will give him.  He also continues to love books, stickers, and his lawnmower.  He shouts “mano” every time he thinks here is a lawnmower that he hears.  And, he’s obsessed with going outside to look at blowers.  He also loves the garbage truck (“big dirt truck”).  And, he loves to clean.  After he throws his cup (we are working this), he loves to find a “piece” of toilet paper or paper towel to clean with.  🙂

And, he’s really putting words together to make sentences like “go see mama” and “dad sit here.”

He’s so cute, and he’s really a pretty happy kid most of he time.  I won’t say he doesn’t have tantrums or meltdowns, but they’re not that bad when they happen, and usually not that frequent.  Even when you keep him up later than usual or put him in new situations.

 

 

Campbell is still working on his juggling.  And, he loves to play with sidewalk chalk!

 

Campbell also loves to give running snuggles. 🙂

Campbell wants all of his food to be put in a bowl or a plate.  He does pretty well eating with a fork or spoon unless he gets too big of a bite, then he asks for help by saying “big bite.”  He is also saying “all done” now rather than signing it.  And he’s saying help verbally.  He still mostly signs please and thank you, but it’s going to be so sad when he doesn’t do that any more.  Here are some bowl action shots!

And, for a long time, Campbell couldn’t do “superman” anymore.  Now he’s able to do it again, and he loves it.  🙂  I’m amazed at how strong he is.

 

Dad had fun playing with Campbell today while mom was at work.  It’s nice having dad home for the summer.

Campbell is also getting a lot more interested in stuffed animals.  And, here he is playing picaboo with dad at his favorite playhouse in the park.  He loves to go play picaboo there!  🙂

One of Campbell’s favorite things to do these days is to play picaboo everywhere around the house.  In his closet, in his hamper, and around the kitchen island.  Or on the playground.  And, it is hysterical how long he waits to come out.  🙂

Also, Campbell saw dad juggle and decided that he could juggle too!  Ignore the very sick mama in the background!  Last night we took Campbell to the Lantern Light Festival.  He loved it, but mom came down with the stomach flu and threw up in the car the whole way home and all night long.

And, here’s a message for Gigi and one for Papa Doc.  :).  We’ve been asking Campbell what he dreamed about.  He usually says trucks!

Campbell also loves to play soccer.  🙂  Of course, his favorite part is when you throw (gently, of course) the ball at his head.  Here you can see the behind-the-scenes efforts to get him to smile for the pictures.  🙂

He also loves going to the park and playing on the slide.

Campbell also loves to go to the parks around Harbor Town and to swing and go down the slides.  We love having a park so close to our house.

Campbell is talking up a storm and copying everything.  Here he is wishing Aunt Lizzy Happy Birthday!  🙂

Campbell loves music and is starting to ask for some of his favorite songs on the Echo.  There’s no accounting for his dad’s taste, though.  Some of his recent favorites:  Fancy by Iggy Azalea and Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice.  Dad’s dancing to Fancy to make Campbell laugh in this one.

 

Today we got some fun pictures out at Spring Creek for Campbell’s second Easter Egg hunt!  He also got to meet the Easter Bunny for the third straight year.

And, after the Easter Egg hunt, we thought he was too dressed up not to try to take some cute pictures around course and then also around our neighborhood.
