Campbell got some new “toys” for Halloween from Pat Pat and Bing.  :).  He loves his new cookware as you can see from these pictures!  Dad was so confused at first when he opened the package, but Campbell knew exactly what to do!  🙂

We also had developmental therapy and physical therapy today.  He got a great report on both.  The physical therapist thought his new shoes were perfect with the orthotics and that he was doing great.  He has met all his goals and is on to new ones!  And, the developmental therapist thought he was really improving with his speech. And, we worked on using utensils, and he did great.  He was really able to get food pretty cleanly into his mouth with a spoon and a fork.  Everyone was really impressed!  (He had spaghetti for lunch before these pictures were taken, and you cant’t even tell because he didn’t get it on himself!

So, Campbell is obsessed with our neighbor who drives a motorcycle.  So Gigi got him a new motorcyle riding toy.  He seems to really like playing on it.  :).

And, you can see his new shoes in this picture.  Aunt Charlotte gave us these last year and they are perfect for his new orthotics.  We’re especially glad because we went to the Stride Rite store and tried on every shoe they had and none of them (except the high top ones the physical therapist doesn’t recommend) worked with them.  So, yay!  And, they’re really cute anyway.

He just loves to say “touchdown!” or “Roll Tide!”  🙂

Gigi came to visit so Mom could go to Nashville for a meeting.  She dressed him up like a cute superhero.  🙂

Also, C got his new orthotics on Friday.  Now we just need to get some shoes they will go in so he can keep his feet from turning a little inside.

One of Campbell’s new favorite things to do is to read travel magazines and brochures with mommy.  🙂

And, here you can see Campbell making more animal noises and doing what you should do when someone says Roll Tide.  🙂

And, after we took that video, Campbell started smearing juice from orange slices all in his hair.  It was really cute and funny, though I don’t think the pictures quite captured the moment.

Also, earlier today, we had developmental therapy.  He’s doing really great – especially with his speech.  He’s signing “please” all the time now when you ask him to – even for his pacifier.  :).  We’ve actually been trying to use the pacifier less and less, but it’s nice that he’s being polite and asking for it!

Campbell has a new trick!  He can tell you what the owl says and meow like a kitty cat.  I’ll note that he actually cries like a meow instead of saying meow.  I like to think that’s experience.  🙂

Dad got to be home more this week because of Fall Break – so Campbell got to go to the zoo!

He loved seeing all the animals – especially the fish – but he still loves Shamu best.  🙂

And, we got the results of Campbell’s speech therapy evaluation last week (we got it a couple of days ago).  They don’t think he needs speech therapy at this point.  We can check back in 4-6 months if he hasn’t progressed, but right now they feel like he’s doing well.  He’s really exploded over the past 4 weeks or so in his speech and understanding.  He’s saying more things and definitely starting to understand more and follow more instructions.  He’s getting especially good at saying “please” via sign language.  And, now he can point to some body parts (belly button (well, he gets close), hair (everything is hair), feet, and mouth).  He’s also signing “more” and “all done.”  It’s pretty fun to watch.  🙂

Today, Campbell got to go to his first football game.  Funny that it wasn’t Vandy or Alabama!  :).  Go Tigers!  We even made it through 1 1/2 quarters.  Thank goodness for free tickets and parking.  Ha.

Also, before we went to the game, Campbell had his speech therapy evaluation.  She is going to have to tally up all the results, but she doesn’t think we’ll need speech therapy at this point.  So we will wait for her report, but it’s good news that he probably doesn’t need it.

Campbell is doing so well that he’s reducing his physical therapy to once a month until we get all set with his orthotics (which are supposed to come in this week).

Next week, we will start with a speech therapy eval, but he’s really talking a lot more and doing a lot more copying and responding to things.  He’s even learned to “brush his hair” with mom’s hairbrush.  It’s pretty cute.

But, most importantly, today was the annual NICU reunion.  We got some great pictures and got to see lot of old friends today for the Dr. Seuss event!  Campbell didn’t even mind his “cat in the hat” costume.

Campbell loved wearing his Bama and Eli jerseys today.  🙂

And, he’s really starting to copy more and likes saying “touchdown” and “goal!”.  🙂

And, he loved playing “high, low, too slow” with mom.  🙂

He also learned how to blow raspberries and thinks that’s really funny.
