Campbell’s first “real” day of school at Grace-St. Lukes.  We’re nowhere closer on potty training, but we did have a very successful first day.  No accidents (well, at least until I picked him up, so that doesn’t count, right)?  He was excited to go, walked into the classroom, went to play, and didn’t even care that we left.  And, he seemed really happy when I picked him up.  In fact, he kept asking me where his lunch was and was unhappy that he couldn’t stay to eat lunch with his friends.  His teachers are Ms. Kate (Gould) (left) and Mrs. Sally Butler (right).

Here’s are some first-day pictures, including one his teacher sent.

Week of August 12

Campbell is learning to really putt and chip instead of just hitting the ball as hard as he can.

This was supposed to also be our first week at Grace-St. Luke’s.  We went on Monday to meet the teachers and some of Campbell’s classmates.  Campbell was so excited and really liked going to school.  Tuesday was supposed to be our first day of school, but we decided to keep him home this week since Mason is still home to work on potty training.  I don’t think we’ve talked a lot about it on here, but Campbell has been refusing to go #2 on the potty since we started potty training.

So, here is our non-traditional first day of school picture…  Dad spent all day in the potty with Campbell.  Still no luck.

Later, Aunt Julie came for dinner and got to help with potty training too.

Then, on Friday, Campbell and mom had fun playing the piano and singing.

Campbell also still loves to swing, though we’re going to outgrow the baby swing soon enough.  If only we were making progress on potty training.  Not so much, but we are going to try going to school tomorrow.

Week of July 23, 2018

Campbell had a great time “jumping at the same time” with Patrick and Stewart.  However, “jumping at the same time” actually means watching someone else jump and then going.  🙂  (This picture is actually much closer to “at the same time” than usual.  :).  The video is more like what is usually happening.

Later in the week, we finally got , Campbell had fun swimming, and we finally got him to try out his floaties.  He said it made him “nervous” when he first started floating without holding on to anyone, but he did like it!  Especially wen he went to the “car wash” aka fountain.  🙂

Then, we got more after-church pictures of Campbell playing in the yard and cleaning up branches after a storm last night.

It was a fun and relaxing week, and we are sad to go back to reality next week!  But, when we got home Julie and Tracy were so nice and offered to play with Campbell for a while while we unpacked, which was super helpful.

Week of July 16

Mom got an unexpected day off of work when the A/C at the law school went out.  We got to go play at the zoo.  He even got in the wading pool for a bit today for the first time.

And, more golf.  🙂

Later, we went to Jackson and got to take some pictures of all the grand kids together after church.  And, a potty training update.  We decided to go to Jackson and stay at mom and dad’s house for a little stay-cation with pool since potty training isn’t happening at all.  We’re doing pretty well with #1, but #2 has been a complete non-starter.  He says he doesn’t know how and won’t tell us when he needs to go.  Let’s hope we get this figured out before school starts in 3 weeks…
