Today, Campbell is wearing his first (but surely not his last) sweater vest. We thought it was super-cute on him, and so did Marie. 🙂 .

Last night Campbell still got up after 6 hours, mom was able to get him to go back to sleep for an hour before eating. We’re hoping that if we stretch him out again, he’ll go back to his “what we hope is normal” schedule of sleeping longer at night. Fingers crossed.
Here he is looking like a frog in his cute frog prince outfit. 🙂

Unfortunately, for the past couple of weeks, Campbell hasn’t been sleeping through the night. We’re trying to work on that, but he seems determined to wake up after 6 hours wanting to eat. But, that doesn’t stop him from being super cute when he’s awake. Here are a couple from today in some new outfits that finally fit him (after a blow-out induced wardrobe change).

Today, we don’t have any pictures to mark the occasion, but Campbell took his bottle out of his mouth and put it back in all on his own! :). Twice. Before long he’ll really be feeding himself!

Here, Campbell looks kind of bummed that we are gone to Iceland. Or, more likely, he’s just napping. 🙂 Thankfully, we got to see him tonight! In fact, we were so excited that we forgot the suitcase on the curb at the airport that had all the milk from the trip that we brought home. We had to turn around and go immediately back to the airport to get it. Thankfully it was still cold and hadn’t spoiled!

Today was the big day – the Alabama/Ole Miss game. And though things didn’t go my way, Gigi and Papa Doc even let Campbell wear his Alabama gear. We were a little afraid we’d come home to find him all decked out in Hotty Toddy! Too bad it didn’t do us any good. And now, the jersey may be tainted beyond use… 🙂
Thankfully, he didn’t seem too sad about losing.

Today is Campbell’s 7-month birthday! We were bummed not to be there to spend the day with him, but at least we got to see his cute face!
Here’s one of Campbell in his newborn-sized Alabama onesie. How it still fits him is beyond me…
And, he’s now wearing size 3 diapers! Such a big boy! I think he’s probably at least 16 pounds by now – maybe even 17.

Today mom and dad left to go on their first trip away from Campbell. Gigi and Papa Doc agreed to babysit even though Campbell isn’t always sleeping through the night. It was really hard to leave and be away from him, but Gigi promised to send us pictures while we were gone.
In this one, she assured us we were seeing a shadow and not a black eye. :).
Here, she is improvising because we forgot to bring the podster of all things! But he seems to like it okay.
And, here he doesn’t look too sad that we are gone.

More tummy time fun! 🙂 .

And, last night he slept well again – about 8 1/2 hours this time. Yay. :).
And, though this isn’t a very good picture, you can see here that he’s even starting to get the “Shamu” treatment. (She likes to sleep on mom and dad, and now Campbell). Thankfully, she’s tiny! But Campbell doesn’t seem to mind.

Campbell has really started to enjoy tummy time more.
And, more importantly for Mom and Dad, he slept all night long!!! For about the past few weeks, Campbell has been waking up in the middle of the night. He’s not been receptive to just the pacifier. He’s either wanted to eat or he’s been hurting because he’s teething. So we tried teething tablets a few nights ago. That helped him go back to sleep for a few more hours when we gave them to him in the middle of the night. That made mom feel better – then I knew it wasn’t that he was really hungry. You’re not supposed to use the teething tablets a lot of days in a row, so I decided to try baby motrin. And that seems to have been the trick because we tried it, and he slept 8 hours again. Fingers crossed that he keeps it up and continues to sleep better!

Today, Campbell had a big day. Not only did he excitedly watch Alabama football. He doesn’t actually get to “watch” anything as we don’t let him watch TV, which may explain why he’s always so bored during football games :).

More pool fun today!
Okay, well, it wasn’t all fun…
But clearly dad has the magic touch:
At least momentarily! 🙂 . Campbell has the most adorable pout, and we realized that we don’t have any pictures of it – so here’s our first effort at capturing it.
And, Campbell can’t wait to watch the Alabama game tonight. We’re still working on “touchdown” and “Roll Tide!”
Here’s a shot of him pre-game:
And, here’s how excited he was during the game:

Today, Campbell had a lot of fun playing in the pool. The water is not as warm as it was earlier this summer – and he didn’t smile as much as he did last time. But still, he really enjoyed himself.
And, he’s sporting his first “root suit.” 🙂 . Actually, it’s just a not very flattering swim diaper, but still, we may retire it after this photo shoot.
