Today, Mason got to enjoy his first Father’s Day with Campbell! They spent the day relaxing and watching Campbell’s first U.S. Open. Campbell told dad that he is not impressed with the greens at Chambers Bay.
And, here’s a cute smile:
Today is Campbell’s 4 month birthday (1 month “corrected” age birthday)! Happy Birthday Campbell – however old you are. :).

He got to celebrate by having more apple juice and by spending some time with Aunt Allison and Aubrey, who were in town to visit Rhodes. And by spending some time with Pat Pat and Bing.
Unfortunately, the juice isn’t doing the trick yet, but hopefully that’s partly because he’s spit up so much of it. Fingers crossed.
Also, Campbell slept 6 hours straight last night. He’s done this a couple of times before, but so far it hasn’t “taken.” Here’s hoping this is the start of more sleep for mom and dad.
Well, Campbell’s morning was no fun with a (regularly-scheduled) trip to the pediatrician. The good news is that he is growing really well. He’s up to 9 pounds, 9 ounces. His height and weight progress is exactly what we want. In fact, he’s just plain fat; as the pediatrician said, “What happened to your neck? I swear you had one last time you were here.”
The less good news is that Campbell has been having some digestive issues. Nothing major, but we’re going to have to try to give him some apple juice to help everything get unblocked. Even though it’s a small problem right now, we have to keep an eye on it (and, Campbell had to have a fairly unpleasant exam exploring the blockage from Dr. Frizzell).
Worst part of the exam (and that’s saying something considering the exam referenced above) was the second set of shots. Here he is just afterwards with some bandaids on the poor little guy!
Today Campbell got to go to his first golf tournament! The Fed Ex St. Jude Classic was here in Memphis, and Mason’s parents gave us clubhouse passes to use. This was really nice for when we needed to feed him and get him out of the heat.
In the meantime, here are some cute pictures of him from the tournament in his polo romper. 🙂
Not even Phil could wake up Campbell:
Finally, here is one of Campbell playing on his new favorite toy again. I get the feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot of this in the near future.
Today Campbell got a new toy! He got an activity mat, and he loves it. He even rolled over from his back onto his left side twice last night while I was watching. He’s also starting to “social smile” sometimes in response to us smiling at him. And, he can copy you if you stick your tongue out at him. He’s definitely starting to catch on.
Here’s a cute pic of him on his new activity mat:

Here’s a cute pic of Campbell chilling at the beach today:
And, one of him sporting his first polo pony after his first trip to the outlet mall yesterday:
And two showing how fat he’s getting:
And some cute pictures of Campbell’s first trip out to the beach:
And, finally our first family “selfie” (aided by the fact that Campbell dropped his pacifier in the sand just before we took this picture). :).
