Dad is back to traveling sometimes, so Campbell wanted to do something special to welcome him home. He planned this whole welcome home party for dad. So thoughtful, sweet boy.

We’ve had this easel for a long time, and dad finally put it together! Campbell is having so much fun with it – and especially painting in his precious smock and having “job class.”

Campbell loves to build with magnatiles still. Today he built a castle. I’ll post some pictures, but you definitely need to watch him show you all the cool features. (Also got a great picture of Campbell and Dad! :).

Tonight the kids had a fun time playing at the park near our house and on Campbell’s black truck after soccer. So fun! :). I have a feeling this is a preview of what 16 (and 14) is going to look like with these cuties. 🙂

Well, the runny nose (as usual) has progressed to a cough. So we made a trip to the doctor to make sure we don’t have COVID and to be sure we can go to school. Dr. Frizzell gave us another COVID test (negative) and was able to do our 6yo checkup belatedly since we weren’t running fever. All looks good! Everyone at the doctor’s office was so nice to Campbell in his lab coat. :). And, since it was late by the time we got in and out, we didn’t go back to school today and Campbell got to do jobs! :).

Campbell woke up with a bit of a runny nose today, so he got to take his first COVID-19 test. We got cleared to come with a negative test! Yay!

And, there’s a big hurricane (Ida) that’s caused a lot of damage. So, Campbell enjoyed doing some weather reports around the neighborhood after school today. :).

We found some yard work to do in the neighborhood today. Campbell helped the guys put out sod and use the wheelbarrow. He had such a fun time! Love seeing him do his jobs again. :).

Later, we had fun playing with water balloons, water guns, and baby pools with neighborhood kids. :). Mason definitely took the brunt of it. 🙂
