Today, Campbell and dad had a moving company and moved furniture into the back of dad’s Trooper and then back into the house.
And, we got a new phone today, which takes MUCH better pictures! Yay!
Today was a very exciting day.
First, Campbell got to do yard work with his buddy Jamie from Naturally Green. He’s been so nice to Campbell. He tells us all the time how smart Campbell is, and he loves his creativity.
Later, Campbell got a super fun visit from his SK teachers from GSL – Kirsten Horton and Cindy Sorrells. They came to visit each child before school starts next week since there are so many new rules with all of the pandemic. They brought him a special gift (a “Peppy Panda” class t-shirt and a panda toy plus all his supplies for remote learning (we’re going to start out with remote learning at least until Fall Break, when we will reassess how things are going).
He loved meeting them so much and was so sweet. He even picked flowers for them both and had us write a sweet note for them to take. They seemed quite taken with how thoughtful he can be. We are so excited for this year – even though it’s going to be a strange one!
Later, working in the park with dad and his excavator.
Campbell and Dad went to get Campbell’s 5-yo checkup so we would be able to go to school in person whenever the time comes to do that. We were almost certain that Campbell would have to get a shot, but thankfully, he didn’t!
Campbell was excited to be a real COVID doctor, and he told all of the doctors, nurses, and staff that he was a real COVID doctor. He wore his COVID specialist lab coat, a mask. And, he even wore his mask the whole time he was at the doctor’s office.
After a long time gone, we came back to such a fun surprise from Julie and Tracy. They have been wanting to do a scavenger hunt with Campbell since they moved. We were able to do it tonight, and it was awesome.
First, Campbell found some popsicles at Julie and Tracy’s old house! Then, we went to Harbor of Health, where Campbell found a scrub suit and a Covid Specalist Lab Coat! Then, he found another clue that sent him to the Montessori school for some – marshmallows! Finally, we followed the directions to a special fire hydrant where Campbell found a special “Fire Chief Campbell” fireman outfit! It was a truly special and awesome night. Campbell loved it so much!
Campbell has progressed so much with his swimming since the beginning of May when he first started swimming on his own. He’s really confident and swimming so well! We are super proud of him, and love his sense of adventure.
And, today Campbell got an astronaut costume and got to do yard work and play on a tractor!
We’re staying in Jackson longer than intended because mom has been crazy with work. Orientation is supposed to start on Monday, and about 10 days ago they shifted from everything being partly in person to all online due to COVID-19. It’s been crazy trying to revise everything for Orientation because of that.
More yard work today! 🙂

Today, we did lots of different kinds of jobs!
First, Campbell wanted to be a firefighter.

Later, we went on a garbage route (and we’re working on wearing a mask for that)!

Today, Campbell and Dad poured concrete today using a pool noodle, a water gun, and a bucket of water. All Campbell’s idea, and all very creative. 🙂

Later, we did some yard work also!

This picture is hilarious. When mom was growing up, she loved to get the black olives from the salad bar and eat them off of all of her fingers. :). Campbell loves it too – and loves black olives just as much! 🙂

Today we had a lot of activity. First, we tried to get some good pictures of Campbell in something other than his work clothes!

Later, Aunt Brannon stopped by with a surprise gift – an awesome fire costume! Campbell had so much fun putting out fires around the neighborhood, and it was his idea to bring a bucket and a water gun to use as a fire hose! 🙂

Later, Campbell wanted to play Sherlock Gnomes, so we had a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood! He had so much fun running around with dad (Watson), and fighting Moriarti (mom). 🙂

Campbell had so much fun today!
First, we did construction work at the lot where the new house is being built and at Gigi’s house.

Later, Mom, Dad, and Campbell went on a pirate treasure hunt. A nice neighbor told us all about the history of the neighborhood and the pirates that used to hide their treasure here. Campbell even found some of it! He was so excited!

Later, Campbell wanted to wrap special presents for dad. He loves giving gifts! Sweet boy!

Campbell is hard at work in Gigi’s neighborhood!
