Today was a super-fun day! There was a crew cutting down a tree behind a neighbor’s house. They had the coolest remote-controlled machine they used and drove it on and off the trailer. They also had a big dump truck with a grabber! It was so cool, and, of course, Campbell had to re-enact it all! 🙂

More work around Gigi and Papa Doc’s neighborhood. Today, they came with the concrete pumper truck and helped pour some of the retaining wall behind the new house that’s going to be build. Campbell loved seeing them work!

And, today, Kim came with a fun spiderman costume and a coast guard helicopter. Campbell was so excited!

Today was a big day! Gigi took Campbell to the western store and bought him a whole cowboy outfit – hat, shirt, badges, six-shooters and holsters, a lasso, and boots with spurs! So fun! He loved it and even wore his mask in the store!

Campbell wanted to play ninja before school this morning. Usually, we have class from 8 – 830 and then again from 10 – 1030 or so. We also work on other things outside of class like sight words and writing and coloring “books.”

Later, dad and Campbell rode “Becker” as Campbell’s cowboy in his cool cowboy jacket that was Bing’s when he was little! Super cute!

We also found a way to meet with Mr. Willis the librarian and check out books. He and Campbell can have virtual meetings on Google Meet to talk about books, and we exchange books on the main office porch. He sent us two huge crates of books! Campbell was so excited!

Also, Campbell is still into home improvement shows. Here, he wanted to “stage” the house and the pillows. :). So cute.

Later, we left for Jackson. Campbell was so tired, he fell asleep in the car at about 5pm…

Campbell and mom went out to do yard work this morning while dad was teaching.

Later, dad and Campbell did some construction work.

I know this blog isn’t for our cats, but they are super sweet.

And later, Campbell wanted to make food truck in the back of dad’s trooper. :).

Today, Campbell’s new lap desk came in the mail. We thought he would really enjoy a way to do his schoolwork another way – not always at the outside table (our virtual school area).

Day 3 of school. Campbell watched a fun Spanish video about colors from the Spanish teacher that he thought was hilarious.

Later, Campbell and mom went out to do jobs while dad was teaching. First, we did some yard work in the park.

Later, we found Carlos and his crew putting in new landscaping at Ben’s Park! Campbell had so much fun helping him.

After class, dad and Campbell went to do SWAT police work. Dad got some GREAT pictures!

It’s hard to believe that Campbell is old enough to be starting Kindergarten! We certainly never expected Kindergarten to look like this! But, we know he will have a great year, and we are so excited for him!

Here are some pictures of Campbell at “school” on the first day, and also going up to school to take a picture with the “first day” sign. 🙂

He did very well today, so hopefully that will continue!

Later, Campbell got to do some jobs around the neighborhood.

August 16, 2020

Today, we went to school to try to get some cute “first day” pictures since we are going to be starting remotely.

Afterwards, we played at the park with some friends. And, we got to give Cannon his cool ninja costume birthday gift! It was a big hit!

Today was a very exciting day.

First, Campbell got to do yard work with his buddy Jamie from Naturally Green. He’s been so nice to Campbell. He tells us all the time how smart Campbell is, and he loves his creativity.

Later, Campbell got a super fun visit from his SK teachers from GSL – Kirsten Horton and Cindy Sorrells. They came to visit each child before school starts next week since there are so many new rules with all of the pandemic. They brought him a special gift (a “Peppy Panda” class t-shirt and a panda toy plus all his supplies for remote learning (we’re going to start out with remote learning at least until Fall Break, when we will reassess how things are going).

He loved meeting them so much and was so sweet. He even picked flowers for them both and had us write a sweet note for them to take. They seemed quite taken with how thoughtful he can be. We are so excited for this year – even though it’s going to be a strange one!

Later, working in the park with dad and his excavator.

Today was a big day for yard work! Campbell even had the fun idea to create a sign to put on your “yard truck.” And, he had the idea to create a trailer behind the “truck” to carry his yard tools.

Later, Campbell thought it was hilarious to navigate to “hot yoga” on mom’s phone. 🙂
