Today is throwback Tuesday.  :).

More 1970s cuteness.

And, we have some other new developments.  Campbell is learning to put his toys away (okay – just a little bit), and shaking his head “no.”  (Not sure I’m so excited about that one.  :)).  And, he’s finally started climbing backwards down the stairs.  Yay!   He is really learning things so quickly – it’s amazing to watch.  And, he’s definitely vocalizing more.  Not to mention that he’s really cute and fun.  :).

Today is throwback Monday.  🙂  This is a cute “chocolate soup” outfit from the mid 1970s.  My aunt Helen gave it to us to borrow.  C looks pretty cute.  🙂 but he is getting so big and really starting to look more like a little boy than a baby.  It’s hard to believe!

And, we took a selfie this morning before mom went to work.

From how happy he is in this picture, you can’t tell at all what an awful night we had last night while dad was away.  Campbell decided to poop all over his bed while I was getting him ready for a bath.  Sheets, mattress pad (thank goodness we had one!), bumper pads, toys, books, pacifiers.  It was a total mess.  And, to add insult to injury, while I was trying to get him cleaned up, Campbell spilled liquid soap all over the bathroom floor!  We were both just ready to get to bed after that!

It is definitely time to move up diaper sizes (to size 5s) after that and the minor leaks he sometimes has at night.  Hard to believe we were ever in preemie xs sized diapers.

And, I am starting to think that Campbell is very good at problem solving. We have a new play table and chairs for him, and I put his little blue sippy cup in the middle in the back where he couldn’t reach it. And, he pulled it out from the wall so he could slip behind it and reach the cup. Pretty smart I thought! And here’s photo evidence.  🙂

Campbell has a new favorite toy.  🙂  But, it’s highly annoying when Campbell pushes the same button over and over again!  🙂

And, Campbell recently had what I can only presume must have been a night terror. He woke up about three hours after we put him to sleep, and he was hysterically crying but didn’t appear to be awake. When we checked on him he looked like he was having a nightmare. It was very scary for us, but thankfully he was okay and comes down and went back to sleep.  I can’t imagine what was so terrifying for him other than dreaming that his pacifier was gone!  Supposedly night terrors are partially caused by exhaustion.  He has been fighting naps, so maybe that’s part of the issue.

Today was a big day!  Campbell got to see Aunt Lizzy for the first time since last summer and also got to meet Pete.  Campbell especially appreciates that Pete gave him “And the Bear Snores On” (which they are reading in the picture), and which is C’s absolute favorite right now.

And, in other exciting news, Campbell waved bye-bye to Aunt Lizzy and co. tonight.  It’s the first time we’ve really seen him do this.  Yay!

And, you can see the aftermath of our dunking incident in the pool yesterday here. I think dad feels worse than Campbell does, thankfully!

Campbell is playing with his new “kindle.”  🙂

Shamu is starting to be less afraid of Campbell.  She’s pretty tolerant of him, actually.  🙂  Jeeves – not so much.  He pretty much stays away except when Campbell is napping or asleep.

And, we got some more cute pool pictures.  He loves to swim!  He also loves to take off mom’s sunglasses, but this time he put them on his own face.  :).  It was all fun and games until Campbell dunked the basketball into the goal, which fell on him because it didn’t have enough water in the base.  He has a few scratches, but nothing too serious, thankfully.  I think dad was more upset than Campbell was.  Also, he’s loving to clap.  🙂

More swing fun!  🙂

Also, Campbell had a visit from Anne Katherine for developmental therapy today.  He’s a little behind on speech and speech-related activities (like waving bye-bye, for example). So, we’re going to get referred to speech therapy.  It might take a little while to get in for our first visit, but hopefully, it will help.  Campbell is really doing great, though!

One of Campbell’s favorite things is his snail pull toy.  He’s really cute running around the house with it.  It’s nearly impossible to get a picture, though, because he’s always in motion.  2016-08-06 09.35.38.jpg

Apparently, tennis balls are hilarious.  🙂

And, one of Campbell’s new favorite things to do is to climb on everything.  He particularly likes to get his books and climb up onto the sofa or chair and read to himself.  It’s super cute.

Campbell is also getting in several new teeth.  He’s got at least one big tooth in the back on the bottom, one coming in next to the front teeth on the bottom, and a couple others trying to poke through too.  You can tell he’s teething and that sometimes he hasn’t been feeling great.
