Campbell wanted to be a pirate today. And, more Harry Potter reading. :).

Later, we tried to get a family picture for new year’s eve.

Julie and Tracy got Campbell a fun NASA outfit for Christmas. They are so sweet! And, more Harry Potter today. Campbell is definitely obsessed. And, great time to do it with school being out this week. :).

Campbell and mom started reading Harry Potter today. Mom said it would take a week. Dad said it would take a month. We shall see who’s right. We read A LOT today.

Later, heavy rescue in Campbell’s cool jacket.

Of course, we had to immediately go do jobs in Campbell’s new truck, and the first one he wanted to do was David Carey construction, along with the sign!

And, he loves is other Christmas gifts too. 🙂

Campbell got to help mom and dad get his new truck secured onto the back of the trooper. Thank goodness Julie and Tracy gave us this extra luggage trailer. It was perfect for the vehicle that Santa brought, and thankfully, helped us make it home safely. Campbell loved using his new lines to tie down the truck.

And, before we left, we got to have an outdoor, socially-distanced visit with Allison and her family. We haven’t seen them since last Christmas, so it was nice to find a safe way to see them and even get a picture of all the grandchildren on this side.

Campbell had so much fun running around with Patrick, Stewart, and Aubrey, that he fell asleep on the way home. And, we stopped in Sardis for Thai food and ran around the square for a few minutes, which Campbell thought was super fun.

All in all, it was an amazing Christmas!

Later, we tried to get some family pictures.

Campbell had so much fun making cookies for Santa in his new baking costume. :).

Later, we got to open a few presents on Christmas Eve, including Campbell’s gifts to his parents and to Gigi and Papa Doc.

And, Campbell also got to open a few gifts from mom and dad. :). Name badges for his jobs, and signs for his jobs to put on his work trucks. He also got some new heavy duty straps to use in his wrecks.

Later, we got to get ready for Santa by putting out Christmas cookies and milk and reindeer food and carrots for Santa’s reindeer in the yard and on the roof. I can’t wait to check tomorrow to see if they have been eaten!

Campbell is so excited for Santa!

Today, Gigi gave Campbell a very special gift she had made for him. I asked her if she could make a heavy rescue jacket for him with reflective tape like they wear on Highway Thru Hell. This was my (overly hopeful) way of trying to get him to wear a jacket since he fights about that every day. Gigi did a great job, and he was so excited. He even wanted a picture with his “tough face” that he (and we) have to make when the show comes on.

Campbell got obsessed with delivering mail and letters with bad news and having us get upset and slam the door on the postman. :). He thought it was hilarious.

Later, more construction. 🙂

Crazy Campbell wanted to get his feet in the pool, at least. To be fair, it was in the high 60s, but that water was COLD!

More work at the house today – using real nails! Mr. Mark, the builder, showed him how to hammer properly. :).

Campbell is having a big time doing construction at the lot down the street from Gigi and Papa Doc.

Later in the day, we got to do a wreck in the neighborhood!

And, later a fort in the bonus room. Campbell had so much fun with this and with making mom and dad pretend to find the fort in the forest and then shooting at us with his fake cowboy pistols – haha!

Today, Campbell got to open some presents from mom and dad and from family before we left town for Christmas. Mom and dad bought a lot of books at the library sale last year, and we got him some new clothes. And, we had our gifts to each other in this pile, so it looks like a lot more than it really is!

Today, we had a very special surprise for Campbell. Some neighborhood friends and we arranged for Santa to come visit other neighborhood children and Campbell in our back yard. 🙂
