Today, we rode the snow roller coaster.

Campbell loved it and asked to go again and again.  :).  We also rode the bus all around town and tried to go ice skating, but the skating rink was closed because it was too warm and melting.

Then, we had a snowball fight and made snow angels in the snow in they courtyard.

Later, we walked to center village.  Campbell got to see the snow cats grooming the mountain!

Then, he went to Kids Night Out while mom and dad went out.  He watched part of Night at the Museum, which he loved.

Later, we got to see the cool fire pit.  It was a super-fun day.

Today, Campbell went to ski school.  He wasn’t so sure about it at first but ended up having a pretty good day.  They said he kept asking to go home (he was super tired), but he did so (apparently) very politely.  :).  And, they said he did a great job for a first time skiier.  He ended the day as what they call a 2+, which means he can stop and turn.  We got to see him at lunchtime.

Later, we picked him up and decided to go take him up the “real” ski lift to try a very easy bunny slope.  That was a complete disaster and he had a total meltdown on the mountain.  Even the ski patrol stopped to give us candy to help out.  :).  Mom tried hard to ski holding his hand and then with him between her legs, but he was having none of it.  Finally, mom had to ski down with his skis while dad skied down carrying Campbell (which he loved).  (He also thought the lift was pretty cool).

Later, we were completely wiped out!

Today was such a fun day!  Campbell went to school until noon, when mom and dad picked him up.  We went to Chick-fil-A for lunch and then headed to the airport for our flights to Denver.  It was Campbell’s first time on a plane since he was one.  So, he had such a big time.  We watched a video about what to expect from airport security, and he loved that.  Then, the TSA agents gave him a Jr. TSA agent sticker.  He was so excited and proud of that.  He thought the escalators were so fun and loved carrying his suitcase through the airport.  :).  He even did a pretty good job on the plane – thank goodness for in-seat video screens and Paw Patrol!  🙂

We got in late to Denver, got our car, and drove straight up the mountain to Copper Mountain, which was about an hour an 45 minutes away.  Campbell slept most of the way there, thankfully, since this was a time change plus a really late night (and long day with no nap) for him.

Today, Campbell got to go to Anna (his fiancee) and her twin brother Jack’s birthday party at Pump-It-Up.  They had such a fun big time.  Campbell was so sweet and insisted on creating his own gift for Anna, even though we had a gift for both kids.  It was a tupperware container with several matchbox cars and a police helicopter.  The top of the container was a silicone potholder.  He insisted that we take it in and put it on the table with all the other gifts.  And, then he gave it to Anna.  She was so sweet about it, and it was adorable and hilarious.  🙂  He’s a really sweet and thoughtful kid.

If there’s ever been anything more perfect to describe Campbell, I don’t know what it would be.  This has been on the bulletin board outside Campbell’s classroom.  🙂

Today was Campbell’s birthday party.  It was at Sega Gymnastics.  Here’s the cute invitation we found.  (It’s awfully hard to find a gymnastics invitation that isn’t pink and purple!).  And, we got cute American Ninja Warrior headbands printed with all the kids’ names on them as favors.  They were a big hit!

He had so much fun with his friends and at the party.  I highly recommend this place for parties.  It was a well-oiled machine, and they said they do 6 parties a day in the summer.  Thanks to all the grandparents for all their help with the party.  We are so glad you could all come!

Later, Campbell had so much fun opening his birthday presents when we got home.  It was a great fun day all around!  🙂  Happy 5th Birthday, Buddy!

Gigi and Papa Doc came today, and Campbell is so excited about his FBI/Swat dress-up outfit (and pirate outfit!).  🙂

Also, Campbell’s been working really hard on writing his name at school, and he’s doing a great job.
