Today was the pumpkin patch field trip at school.  Campbell had so much fun even though his class t-shirt is 5 sizes too big.

Later, we went for family night and golf at Spring Creek.  Special thanks to Lala for Campbell’s cute Alabama t-shirt.  🙂

Today, Hiller sent an excavator to come and dig up the damaged pipe so it could be repaired.  Campbell couldn’t have been more excited.  🙂

Campbell had so much fun talking to the super-nice plumber this morning.  He was also really funny…  Campbell went to get his shovel and hoe since the plumber was digging in the yard.  The plumber suggested that Campbell should dig right where the leak was.  Campbell said “No, that’s your job.”  :).  Dad and the plumber thought that was hysterical.

Later, that night, we went to Mound City with some of our neighborhood friends and had such a great time.

So, dad was home to meet the plumber today.  Unfortunately, the pipe was so caught up in the tree that the plumber couldn’t get it without an excavator.  So, we got that arranged (thanks to some very helpful people at Hiller) for tomorrow.  We’ve been without water ever since, however.  Special thanks to Bing for letting us use his shower, and for giving Campbell a shower tonight while he babysat!

Gigi and Papa Doc came to visit for the weekend.  Campbell loves the Children’s Museum and the carousel (and Pancho the horse!).

We had some water running into the street from the grass near the tree in between the sidewalk and the street in front of our house.  That area is supposed to be the responsibility of the HOA, so I alerted them, they called MLGW, and MLGW came out this afternoon and turned off our water with no explanation.  I called for them to come back out and tell me what was going on.  Finally, they showed up at 11:00 tonight.  Apparently, the leak was significant enough that they turned it off to keep our water bill from being too high.  When they looked tonight, they told us that the water leak was on the side of the meter closest to the house, which is the homeowner’s responsibility.  But it’s also in the median between the sidewalk and the street which is the HOA responsibility.  Apparently, if it’s caused by the tree, they will pay up to 20%.  It was clearly caused by the roots, but the MLGW person told us to call a plumber to get it fixed.  So, we will see what happens.

This is Campbell’s take…

Today, Campbell and mom went to play in the neighborhood.   We went to the soccer park (Music Park), where we like to play golf and soccer, and there was a huge pile of fall leaves to play in.  I “threw” (read: gently) Campbell into the leaves and tried to get a picture.  I got one of my favorite pictures this fall!  🙂

Also,  I didn’t have a post with pictures yesterday, but Campbell continues to be hilarious.  He said “that’s a fact.”  🙂

Today was NICU reunion day!  We had such a good time.  It was a pirates and mermaids theme.

Later, we decided to give up and let Campbell have his driver.  Even though he isn’t going #2 in the potty yet, we figured he was going to outgrow it, his new pitching wedge and his new bag if we didn’t go ahead and let him play. It was pretty amazing to see how quickly he started hitting the driver well.  Not an easy club, and he looks like a pro!
