Campbell wanted to sing a song for Dad this morning. 🙂

Dad had to leave in 3 inches of new snow to go to the airport to get to Virginia. We thought for sure his flight would be canceled, but it was not. But, Mom and Campbell got to have a fun snow day on our own.
We started out snuggle-buggling in bed this morning. Campbell loved hearing Shamu purring and thought it was so funny when I said that Shamu was “making biscuits.”
Here’s a cute video. 🙂
Later, Mom and Campbell tried again playing in the snow. In anticipation of the storm, we got Campbell some mittens in hopes that he would like them better. And we pulled out his fur-lined boots that are a little too small in hopes that those would be more comfortable than the rain boots lined with mom’s wool socks. It went MUCH better today. He liked it and played more, and we ran into his friend, Olivia, which was super fun. They had the cutest little chat about what they had for breakfast (pancakes versus banana bread). It was adorable. 🙂

Campbell’s new favorite thing to do is to play “Busytown.” It’s so adorable. We don’t play by the rules, and we just look for the items on the cards he picks. Usually mom and dad compete to see who can find more of the item we’re looking for. But, occasionally Campbell jumps in and sees things we missed or steals the ones we found and says they are his. :).

Here’s a cute video of Campbell playing Busytown.
And, here’s Campbell trying out his “ear muffs” for the upcoming monster truck rally.

Today was the first snow/freezing rain day this year. We got about an inch of mostly freezing rain, so the streets were terrible and schools were closed. Campbell got to get out in it for the first time that he remembers. I can’t say it was his favorite… He was super excited to see it, but he wouldn’t keep his coat on or his gloves, so he got cold and miserable pretty quickly. It was also a lot more ice than snow, so he didn’t love that it was pretty slippery.
Here’s a view of what was going on underneath the clothes. 🙂

There must be something to the opthalmology in the family – Campbell is obsessed with putting on everyone’s glasses. 🙂

Campbell still loves bathtime peek-a-boo with daddy! 🙂

You can see here about Campbell’s confusion. He asked me if Georgia won when he woke up. 🙂
January 8, 2018
Today was the football game! Yay! Campbell spent all day getting ready and wearing his jersey. But, I think we confused him last week when we cheered for Georgia over Clemson because he keeps saying he wants Georgia to win. 🙂
Dad got some really cute shots today of Campbell in his jersey at the Children’s Museum and with Super Big Al. 🙂
And, Roll Tide. :). Every year Campbell has been alive, Alabama has played for the National Championship. I wonder how many years this can go on…

Today, I had to wake Campbell up from his nap because he was sleeping too long/late. But, the upside is that I got this cute shot while he was still asleep after I turned on his aquarium to wake him up. He’s so sweet. 🙂

Campbell is super into cooking since we got back from Christmas. He has been talking nonstop about cooking pies – and particularly Aunt Brannon’s pecan (kapon) pie. It’s so cute to see him talk all about his steps, ingredients, recipes, and plans. 🙂

Jeeves has decided to start liking Campbell. 🙂

January 3, 2018
Campbell still loves to tell us where to put the diaper cream.
And, he loves to “shake his booty.” 🙂
December 27, 2017
Today, Campbell got to wear his doctor’s scrubs and his stethoscope and go see Brannon and Papa Doc at the office. Stewart went to surgery with Brannon today too, so we got some fun pictures. You can see him with his favorite gifts he got in Jackson – a blower and an edger. :).
He also in the last couple days has decided that he should tell people when to be careful. So, he went into the living room at Gigi’s house and told Daddy “Daddy, you can’t come in here–there’s too much fragile stuff. You might break it.”

Christmas day! What a super-fun day for Campbell! And, for mom and dad.
Look what Santa left for Campbell!

And, look at Campbell coming down the hall to see what Santa brought!
Santa brought an awesome train table, a huge stuffed elephant toy, a mega hauler for Campbell’s trucks, some smaller trucks, and some Thomas & Friends underpants and socks! And, don’t forget the lollipops! It was so much fun to see what Santa brought and how excited Campbell was to dig into his stocking and Santa bag.
Mom and dad got Campbell some extra trains, a tent, a Thomas & Friends book, a flashlight, some small trucks, and a big garbage truck that eats matchbox cars.

Gigi and Papa Doc got Campbell some tools and a tool belt and also (among other things) and some cute firetruck boxer briefs. (Who knew they made boxer briefs for toddlers). They are super cute. And, Campbell loved them and his Thomas socks and boxers. He ended up with underpants over his clothes, on his head, and under his tool belt. Super, super cute.
