Campbell was super-excited to see Dad this morning, since Dad got home after Campbell was asleep last night.

And, he was so cute.  We were reading the Santa Mouse book, in which the Santa Mouse has a cute Santa hat, and we asked Campbell if he wanted to wear his Santa hat.  He said yes, but then asked for his tractor hat instead (which is remarkable because it wasn’t visible to him, and I swear we haven’t worn it in a year, and I had no idea he’d even remember it).  But, he wanted to wear it anyway.  So, he and Dad had a lot of fun wearing the hat and PJs and reading the Santa Mouse book this morning.  🙂

We went to get a Christmas tree, and Campbell was so excited.  He thought it was hilarious that we put the tree on top of the car, and he said that getting a tree was “really special.”  He’s such a cutie.  And, Tyler, the Christmas tree guy, has made it into our song rotation.  I can’t remember if I’ve said it on here, but he’s obsessed with the old name song, i.e.,  Bing Bing, ba-Bing, banana fana fa-Fing, me-mi-mo-Ming- Bing!.  We do that for everyone’s name, for animals, for cars, for everything.  It’s the best thing I’ve ever come up with to entertain Campbell.  He’s so cute – he asks all the time for different versions and names of the songs, and it’s brilliant when I’m trying to keep him awake in the car to get home for a nap or bed.

Unfortunately, no great pictures tonight.

Campbell got to make Christmas cookies with the other grandchildren.  It was his first time, and he really had fun!  I put his hands right into the flour, and I thought he would freak out about it, but he didn’t!  He loved it!  And, it only took him 15 minutes to figure out that he should eat the cookie dough.  :).  I don’t know if you can tell, but the gingerbread man lost part of his leg in one of the pictures.  🙂

We also have been working on getting rid of the pacifier, but Campbell’s been so sick over the past few weeks, that it’s been hard.  So, we told him today that his teeth would fall out if he used his pacifier too much. Aubrey even helpfully demonstrated how he would have to eat if he didn’t have any teeth (and how he couldn’t eat cookies and crackers anymore).  So, I sent him over to dad and asked him to tell dad what would happen if he used his pacifier too much.  He said “my teeth will fall out, hee hee.”  Literally.  It was absolutely hysterical.  This kid!  🙂
