I didn’t quite get the shot, but this was Campbell driving in his “car” and trying to wear Gigi’s reading glasses. It was really funny!

Later, Campbell got his first chess lesson from Papa Doc. 🙂

Campbell still loves to play peek-a-boo. This is a really fun shot. And, I think he may have been taking care of some “business” toward the end. :). Ha! d
Today, dad got some fun pictures of Campbell in his baseball cap. He decided to wear it this way. 🙂
Later, we went to South of Beale for Downtown Dining Week, and Campbell and Dad had a race. Campbell loves to race everywhere and thinks he is faster than everyone. To be fair, he’s actually pretty fast. 🙂
Campbell has been “reading” himself a lot lately. I was trying to get a video, but he didn’t really cooperate. Still, it’s pretty cute and it’s one of his current favorite books, the Library Lion.
I found this adorable turkey shirt that my Aunt Helen let us borrow. She made it for one of her grandkids, and it’s the perfect size for Campbell right now. Super cute. He also loves his new truck books, as you can see!

Later as we were about to go to bed, Campbell started taking his friends to use the potty. It was pretty fun. 🙂 I think he will be interested in potty training before too long.

Evening cuteness with mommy. 🙂

We got some cute family pictures after church today.

We took C back to the doctor because he’s still been sick and running fever. They did some tests to be sure, but he’s fine. He’s just staying sick as he adjusts to being around the germs at school. I’m so happy to be doing this when he is older! But we did get new stats (though I think he must have been slouching for the height picture).

He also got his flu shot!
Today, we had an unexpected surprise in the mail – a new Lambie! When Campbell loved him so much as a baby, we asked a friend who went to Iceland to pick one up for us to have a spare. We kept meaning to get it from him in Richmond, but never did. So he mailed it to us. Campbell was so excited and wanted to put “new Lambie” in his crib and leave “old Lambie” downstairs to play with.

Later we got a cute pic of Campbell in his PJs.

Campbell still loves to play with “big sticks.” We walk all around the neighborhood playing with them and raking with them and collecting them. (And, can you believe it’s short sleeves weather in November?

Later, we went to play putt putt. Campbell participated a lot more this time and really seemed to have fun. He’s definitely a lefty and he doesn’t like to be coached. But, he also definitely is going to need some real golf clubs in the spring when the weather is better. He wants to go play golf all the time!
He’s also very independent and often tells us how we should just “go ahead” and that he will go for a walk on his own. When we say he can’t do that he says “I can DO that” in his cute way.
A few other things that he’s been doing/saying lately that I couldn’t remember where to put.
He loves to say that “I’m so happy!” When he heard that mom and dad were traveling he thought we were going to Philadelphia (because he remembered Gigi and Papa Doc went there back in September). He loves the idea of packing his suitcase and picking out what toys and things to take. And, he is obsessed with seeing Cory – Gigi’s yard man. He hasn’t even seen or heard anything from Cory in weeks, if not months. Pretty amazing this little guy’s memory. 🙂
Campbell loves to stand on his changing table and show off his cool outfit and sunglasses. He’s adorable and full of personality.
He’s still somewhat shy around strangers, but he’s starting to show more personality even then. For instance, when the clerk at Miss Cordelia’s asked Campbell whether he was paying for the cookie that Pat Pat and Bing were getting and Campbell said, “No. I am only two.”

Campbell has been sick for the past week and half. We thought it was just a cold that he would get over, but he seems to be getting worse – green gunky nose and persistent and increasing fever. And, you can tell that he just doesn’t feel good. So we went in to the doctor this afternoon and it was strep and the beginnings of an ear infection. And the doctor said he was extremely congested. Poor little guy. So, Campbell and mom picked dad up after the doctor’s appointment, picked up and both started antibiotics (since I’ve been persistently sick with whatever he had) immediately, and rallied for trick-or-treating. We did let dad do all the candy selection to keep Campbell’s germy hands from infecting all the other kids in the neighborhood, which worked surprisingly well.
In any event, sickness aside, we had an extremely successful first time trick-or-treating. We made it all the way to Ben’s park before turning back toward home, and Campbell loved his fire truck costume! (A lot of the neighbors thought it was pretty cute too). The down side of all that success + getting back after trick-or-treating had already started was that we had tons of leftover candy and only had one person ring our doorbell all night (at least when we were here).
We ended the night by stopping by Megan and Matt’s house, where lots of people were gathered and where they gave Campbell a fire truck toy that he loved that their kids had outgrown. This had the side benefit of even distracting Campbell from his need for Halloween candy. 🙂
Here are some shots of Campbell in his cute costume. 🙂
Later, dad got this cute one, which is pretty remarkable considering how sick he’s been. And, you should look back at the past few days – I added some new pictures I found that hadn’t downloaded from dad’s phone.

Gigi and Papa Doc came to babysit this weekend so that Mom and Dad could go to the VON meeting as family advisors for our Baptist NICU.
They sent us a picture and video of Campbell’s artwork. He might be a new Jackson Pollack.

Too bad he has been sick for the past several days. Since last Saturday he’s been running fever and has had a REALLY runny nose (think continuously-running faucet).
Today we went to the AgriCenter for the Fall Festival. Campbell got to go on a hay ride and check out all the pumpkins. Later we went down to the river to try to get some pictures. 🙂
It doesn’t feel like late October here! 🙂
Later, Campbell got to help mom cook dinner. He’s actually a pretty good helper and knows just what to do!
Later, he put on his jersey to make Gigi and Papa Doc happy. 🙂
